My love of making jewelry began back when I was in Jr High School. A friend of mine who played bass in a band called Tempist was into beaded necklaces and I watched him bead and bought a few from him. They were so beautiful. I was hooked! I scavenged yard sales, swapmeets, secondhand stores, new bead shops and anything I could use for my art!
What I love most about making things is bringing something new into this world that did not exist before.. it's kinda like giving birth in a way, I like that I get to add a little bit more beauty into the world, and I absolutely love the feeling of connecting with nature through art. I feel the constant pull in me to create, to inspire, to learn and to give. I even keep a little notebook under my pillow so I can write down ideas while I sleep! I can't really take credit for my work because whether I am beading a necklace or creating a pendant, the ideas flow through me from somewhere else and want out! I feel like they bead themselves or come together of their own intention! I can't force a necklace to bead a certain way, I have tried and I end up every time not happy with how it turns out. I have started some over and over before giving in to the power of the stones allowing them to come forth in their own way. I create my art from the deepest most magical place within myself. A place inside where I connect with and tune my own frequency to All-That-Is. And I know that because of this, there are people whose lives will be positively affected once they come into contact with the energy of this unique creative power.
Due to a serious and quite painful spinal injury, I cannot always just up and do things exactly when I like to. At times my arms and hands go numb or shake too much to work with small detail. My art is my income as I am unable to sit or stand for very long, making a regular 9-5 job out of my realm of possibility. I cannot bring myself to apply for disability because I have such an AMAZING ABILITY! I am blessed with the ability to create 'beautyfull' things that make people's eyes and hearts light up when they see them! So, when you purchase an item from me you are supporting not only my passion, you are also allowing me to raise my 2 amazing children on my own and show them that disability gave me a chance to discover 'Dis Ability of mine ;)! Thank you SO MUCH!! I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I adore creating them! <3
